His issues with his family, insinuating he's genuinely a good person or that he used to be good, pitying him, themes of divine plan, gods being benevolent, fate, generally Gods Directing The Lives Of Mortals. All of these are varying severity depending on the situation; most of the time he can front and pretend he doesn't care, but it is possible to get through to him. But he will mostly respond violently if you actually do get through.
Ardyn is a genuinely not good very bad individual. He has basically no empathy or sympathy for others, regarding their suffering as a source of amusement, is rather gleefully sadistic and highly manipulative, fond of mocking others especially if he knows they're vulnerable, regardless of age or gender. The only "redeeming" quality is that he is also lazy and won't normally go too out of his way to show those traits and is more likely to be just shittily condescending in everyday conversation. Nevertheless, he is an unpleasant person to deal with! If you would like to opt out of interacting with him, please let me know; alternatively, if you would still like to play with him you can also drop me a note to discuss potential interactions!
